Arrivederci

Ciao tutti,

This is my travel blog, which I'll be updating as often as possible during my 4 1/2 month stay in Italy.  This way, those of you who can't access my pictures and posts on Facebook (sorry, Mom) can keep up with everything I'll be doing.  I'll be the first to admit that I'm pretty lazy about journaling (see my entire shelf of diaries with only the first 2 pages filled in), but after long days speaking nothing but Italian, I think I'll look forward to getting to use English!

So right now, it's the night before I leave.  My suitcase is overstuffed, my passport and visa are accounted for, and my credit card is approved for international spending.  I decided, after realizing that I have absolutely no room to pack anything but clothes, that e-readers aren't as bad as I've made them out to be, and my new Nook, with lots of books in its memory, is charging for the long flight. 


As soon as I get internet access in Lecce, where I'll be staying for the first three weeks, I'll post again, so keep checking back!
